  • Solstad Green Operations results for the 4Q - 2011 has been published.

    Normand Jarl took over the trone this quarter, they used the remaining 3 month in 2011 to do as much as 318 SGO's (Solstad Green Operations), and considering weather conditions in some parts of the world this is a good overall achievement. Normand Pacific was not far behind, they managed 253 and Normand Clough still on third with a steady 210. For those of you who are interested in statistic, and I know there are many of you, I can inform that the 3 vessels above produced 20% of the overall SGO number this quarter.

  • Delivery of Normand Arctic and long term financing

    Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) has today taken delivery of “Normand Arctic" from STX OSV AS, Langsten. “Normand Arctic" is a large LNG fuelled plat­form supply vessel (PSV). The vessel will be trading in the North Sea for Statoil for a firm period of 3 months with additional 5 montly optins.

  • Same procedure as last quarter, Normand Pacific still on top in the SGO contest.

    Normand Pacific won the quarterly competition...again, with a record high number of SGO's (Solstad Green Operations) registered: 621! Normand Jarl came in second with a nice 394, Normand Clough third with 233. Bravo!! It is also worth mentioning that the 3 top positions on the list has improved 60% from last quarter.

    Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Subsea 7 for hire of SOFF's offshore construction vessel (CSV) "Normand Oceanic".

    Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) has signed a contract with Saipem Ltd for use of the Construction Service Vessel (CSV) "Normand Oceanic" The duration of the contract is 150 days with commencement end of June 2011.

  • NOR Offshore Ltd. renamed to Solstad Offshore Asia Pacific Ltd.

    Solstad Offshore ASA (SOFF) increased its ownership in NOR Offshore Ltd. (Nor) to 100% by the purchase of the 40.9% stake held by Nortrans Invest Pte Ltd (Nortrans). The transaction was announced to the Oslo Stock Exchange on 6th April 2011 and a new name, Solstad Offshore Asia Pacific Ltd (SOAPAC) was formally registered on 8th June 2011.

  • Solstad Offshore ASA enters agreement to operate climate neutral vessel

    As part of its environmental program, Solstad Offshore has long focused on innovative environmental solutions for its clients through”Solstad Green Operations”. Since the autumn of 2010, the company has offered its clients the opportunity to operate the company’s vessels on a climate neutral basis. During the spring of 2011, Solstad Offshore signed a charter party for the anchor-handling vessel, Normand Mjolne. Solstad and the charterers have now agreed to operate this vessel on a climate neutral basis, following the guidelines in”Climate Neutral Network” issued by the United Nations.
