Temp Operations Officer

The operations team in the Aberdeen branch office are looking for an Operations Officer to work in our Global AHTS & PSV Segment on an initial 6-month contract. The position reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with vessel management, commercial department and other operational departments. The ideal candidate is team player, goal oriented and business focused with excellent interpersonal skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitoring vessel day to day operations
  • Monitoring of all daily admin issues in the Operations Dept, co-ordinate and reply to emails from vessels and agents
  • Arranging sludge discharge and tank cleaning for the vessels
  • Monitoring Fresh Water / Fuel Oil sampling
  • Assisting vessels with small freight items
  • Point of contact for ships agent
  • Liaise with agents, charterers, port operators and vessel’s captains to ensure smooth communication between vessel and office
  • Supporting Vessel Manager in day to day tasks
  • Assisting crewing team with crew travel arrangements

Required Competence

  • Understanding of port & ship’s operations and logistics
  • 2 years experience of operations/logistics in Oil and Gas Industries
  • Experience using Microsoft office products
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Independent, dynamic and result oriented
