10 Women to Watch in Shipping 2022
This week YoungShip accompanied with WISTA and Nor-Shipping announced, “10 Women to Watch in Shipping 2022”. Companies in the maritime industry was given the opportunity to recommend women from their organization that has stood out and shown good leadership. Out of the ten names a well-known name to us in Solstad was announced, Daryl Sevilleno Enriquez.
Daryl leads our ROHQ in Manila, Philippines as Office & HSSQ System Manager. She won the award due to her accomplishments in her career, her passion for the maritime industry and her strong companywide leadership skills.
I would like to thank the jury of the “10 Women to Watch in Shipping 2022” for recognizing my contribution to the Maritime industry. It is truly an honor to receive such prestigious recognition.
I share this recognition to my colleagues offshore and onshore. This wouldn’t have been possible without their trust and support in the last eleven years since I started working with Solstad Offshore. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the reliable team with me in Manila, the same people who continue to inspire and support me.
It’s one thing to have the competence and another to be given the opportunity. Everyone can develop leadership skills but not everyone is given the opportunity to lead. I am proud to belong in a Company with a strong stand on Diversity & Inclusion and equal opportunities. Because of this, the support received whenever I took over various positions both offshore and onshore, is evident from all levels of the organization.
Lastly, I dedicate this recognition to one of the first people who believed in my capacity to lead others, our late President and General Manager (Solstad Manila), Mr. Rolando Adorable.
