Statoil Petroleum AS has awarded SolstadFarstad a 5 years contract to support the Statoil PSV pool at the Norwegian Continental Shelf utilizing the PSV Far Searcher (2008, UT 751 E, 5,127 DWT). Commencement of the contract will take place in September 2017. Statoil has option to extend the contract by additional 5 x 1 year.
As part of the contract an Energy Storage System will be installed, and the ship will be awarded class notation “Battery Power” by DNV-GL.
Far Searcher will by this contract award be the second vessel in the SolstadFarstad fleet on long term contract with Statoil with “Battery Power” notation.
The commercial terms of the agreement will be kept private and confidential between the parties.
