10 vessels departing for Russia and Africa

Last year three of our vessels spent the summer months up north in Russian waters, while this year the number more than doubles to seven vessels. The fortunate vessels that will explore the Kara Sea are the PSV’s Normand Supra, Normand Surfer, Normand Serenade, Normand Sitella, Sea Spear and the AHTS Far Sigma. CSV Normand Jarl are also setting sail towards Arctic waters, however on a different mission than the other six vessels and further east and south near the Yamal peninsula.

Successful restructuring on multiple fronts

On May 8th of this year, we reported to the market that Solstad Offshore ASA, its creditors and industrial shareholders have come to an agreement in the financial restructuring process of the group. We are pleased to announce that the restructuring – a significant milestone which means that Solstad will continue to operate in a controlled manner, with predictability for employees, clients and other stakeholders – is now complete.

SMART Award to Normand Subsea

Normand Subsea has been awarded a SMART award from Subsea 7 for the contribution and ownership that they took on the 2019 Normand Subsea HSE Engagement Plan. The Normand Subsea team were recognized for a SMART award due to the collaborative contribution of the team on-board (i-Tech 7 & Solstad) to the 2019 HSE Engagement Plan and determination of the team to ensure that the Normand Subsea is a safe worksite that we can all be proud of.
